Sahara desert experiences

The Sahara Desert is a Morocco bucket list must.  Don't forget, the desert is far, you cannot do it in one day trip.

3 days/ 2 nights shared tour (from Marrakech)

The breathtaking High Atlas mountains scenery, Ouarzazate, Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, Valley of Roses, Dades Valley, Tighir oasis, Todgha gorges and of course, the stunning Sahara desert in Merzouga. A great deal for only 105 euros, where two nights accommodations, dinners and breakfasts, camel rides are included. What I love about the 3 days shared desert trip is that you meet other travellers, shared your experience, laugh, make new friends.

2 days/1 night shared tour (from Marrakech)

The 2 days tour is for the ones, who don’t have much time in Morocco but still want to have the desert experience. This tour will bring you to the desert, located next to the Zagora town. It’s a bit different desert than the one in Merzouga, rockier, but still worth your time. On the way, you will also experience the breathtaking High Atlas mountains scenery, Ouarzazate, Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, camel ride and the memorable night at the desert nomads camp.

I will either offer you already prepared package or, according to your needs, we will create a new desert trip itinerary. The Sahara desert requires at least 3 days of your time; if you can spend 4 days, then it’s a dream experience.

Day in a Berber village & Tinmel mosque

For a day, escape the touristy and bustling Marrakech, and experience the genuine Moroccan Berber village life. You will visit Said’s family’s home, located in the beautiful Ijoukak Valley.

There, you will experience the authentic daily Berbers life. You will learn how Said’s family is making bread in the clay stove, will visit the village and its valleys, will drive to the Tinmel mosque, and visit local pottery village. And, of course, will eat the delicious food made by Said’s mother and sisters.

Get away from the hustle-bustle of Marrakech to the stunning village of Imlil located in the Atlas Mountains and witness traditional Moroccan life. You will explore the Imlil village, its nature, do a short trek to the waterfall; will have delicious lunch and will ride a camel.

Tucked away in the foothills of the High Atlas Mountains, Imlil village is a perfect destination for a one day trip from Marrakech.  Because of its calmness and the authentic local life experience, Imlil will be a great escape from the city chaos.

Positioned on the Atlantic coast, Essaouira was always my favourite place in Morocco. It is a must destination to visit for any traveller. Otherwise, you will miss the completed picture of the real Morocco.

150 km from Marrakech located Ouzoud waterfalls are one of the most beautiful natural sights of Morocco. 110- meter waterfalls – the 2nd tallest waterfall in Africa. This popular tourist destination is must visit for the waterfalls and the beautiful natural surroundings.

To ride a camel is a must attraction while in Morocco. If you are not planning to visit Sahara desert, the best place to ride a camel is the palm groves of Marrakech!

Licenced Marrakech guide Ayoub, with his team, organizes “Sips and Bites” adventure where travelers can try local alcohol, tapas and have an authentic dinner.

It’s the only experience  I know in Marrakech that included alcohol tasting in local bars.

The guide shows you the right mix of places. Starting from a local bar and continuing to a more international one, finishing with an amazing dinner.

During the tour, your guide will explain about Moroccan culture, alcohol selection, and local food.  Each experience is different depending on people participating in the tour. Their personalities shape the tour pace and dynamic.

Official guidebooks about Marrakech forces you to go where everyone else is. Instead, let me be your Marrakech digital insider!
